The evening is in support of the 'dr.a.g.' coffee table
book. Published worldwide and garnering rave reviews, the
dr.a.g. book was set to soar when the parent company of the
book's publisher went into bankruptcy. Monies raised tonight
will go to reissuing the dr.a.g. book and helping it to
finally fly.

and shorelines with our tap faculty and friends.This

skyline, bridge and mountain views, an Italian
buffet, and an improv tap jam. What fun - a
sumptuous dinner, an ocean cruise and a stellar tap
performance all rolled into one evening!

entire evening that showcases the diversity and
depth of tap talent in BC. It is our
honour to introduce some of the province’s finest
tap talent in what promises to
be a memorable performance. Danny Neilsen is a
Vancouver-based dancer,
choreographer and director and we are proud to
feature highlights from his new
show “Love. Be. Best. Free” (supported by the Santa
Aloi Award).

An Evening of Ensembles

We are THRILLED to be bringing two of North
America’s most established, amazing and dynamic tap
ensembles to the Vancouver stage. Let us introduce
to you the spine tingling, electrifying work of the
Syncopated Ladies, directed by Chloe Arnold, with
Michelle Dorrance, Sarah Reich, Maud Arnold, Annisa
Lee and the sheer physical tap force of Rasta
Thomas’ Tap Stars, directed by Jason Janas, with
Jumaane Taylor, Joseph Webb, Christopher Broughton,
Kyle Wilder and Connor Kelly. And if that’s not
enough, hold on for Tap Variations, an innovative
ensemble work that was created from our May 25
celebration sessions. Tap Variations is performed by our community and led by Danny Nielsen,
Terry Brock and Jessie Sawyers. Also a special guest
appearance by Dianne Walker.

allows the tap work to shine, and puts the emphasis
on fun. Festival faculty will be in the front row
cheering you on- a pitch-perfect note to end your
festival experience!
